Welcome to baggerman.org. Baggermans are a small bunch and we are scattered around. Here you will find out a little bit about us.
I am Bob Baggerman. I grew up near St. Louis, MO. I graduated from St. Charles High School in 1976. I graduated from Georgia Tech in Atlanta in 1980. I briefly worked for Bendix Avionics in Ft. Lauderdale until 1982. In 1982 I returned to Georgia Tech as a Research Engineer. After living in Atlanta for about 35 years I decided to move to the beach. I moved to Niceville, FL in 2013 and continued to work for Georgia Tech in the field office here. Finally, after 33 years at Georgia Tech I retired in the fall of 2015… sort of. I was retired for about a week and a half before I started my new position at Zodiac Aerospace. Zodiac was great to me but in 2018 I decided to venture out on my own. There is more about me on my personal page
I am always working on something. Here are some of my favorite projects.
Hurricane Wind Speed Logger - Several hurricanes came through in Fall 2017. My so preparation was to put together a some instrumentation to measure and log wind speed and other conditions. The hurricane speed logger page has some data and info on the system I lashed together.
Technical Notes - Here are notes about technical subjects
I have been gathering up a little family history. I have put together a genealogy web site. This view of the family tree shows all my ancestors that I now know of. Like all family trees it is a work in process. Look it over and let me know if you have any information to add.
On my father's side of course I am a Baggerman. His father's family immigrated from the Netherlands. His mother's family immigrated from Germany.
On my mother's side I am a Halliday. The Hallidays came from Scotland via Canada.
