Notes |
- Ernest lived most of his life in Saskatchewan, Canada. He married, but his wife died in childbirth. He was a successful business man. His one son was killed in the First World War. When I was real young, my brother and I looked forward to his visits to us when he came to Sydney. I remember he always gave us a quarter to spend. Years later, he met my children—was especially taken with Betty. He died in 1944 and left me some money.
